A reocurring theme in my work exploring memory and water ecology, Memory Meters explore the depth of our awareness. As we become increasingly distant from water sources, our psychological distance increases from water ecology.
This series of Memory Meters included sound transponders, attached to some of the artworks, transmitting low level sound vibrations from site-based recordings. Humming within the gallery space. As with memory making and the visceral nature of water, the use of hightened sensory methodologies, light and sound, expanded the audience’s perception of environmental messaging.
